My Motorbike
03:41
|
|||
I know I'm angry but I'm right on the case.
I'll drink my coffee and I'm out of this place
and I'm free.
I am free.
I didn't like it here they didn't like me.
I do not want to stay I want to be free.
To be free.
I am free.
I like to ride my motorbike.
I like to ride it fast.
I lean and turn it how I like.
I like to motorbike.
I see a future and the future is gold.
I think I'll look back on today when I'm old
and say "Yeah.
It was then."
I never wanted to join anyone's race.
The plans are mine and they will fall into place
now I'm free.
I am free.
I like to ride my motorbike.
I like to ride it fast.
I lean and turn it how I like.
I like to motorbike.
Open the door for me I want to go home.
I'll take the bus I think or walk it alone
and I'll dream
of my bike.
and how I'll
rev rev rev rev rev it up.
I like to rev rev rev rev rev it up.
I like to rev rev rev rev rev it up.
I like to rev rev rev rev rev it up.
I like to ride my motorbike.
I like to ride it fast.
I lean and turn it how I like.
I like to motorbike.

Like a Ragdoll Falls
03:01
|
|||
Head over feet.
Like a falling wheel.
Like a spirals curl
turns the girl.
In the calmest air
on the cloudless day.
She in whirls and calls
like a ragdoll falls.
If only we could pause the clock.
If we could make it stop.
If we could find the time.
If we could just rewind.
As in the horrored gaze
of driver's panicked shock
their time like treacled tar pulls out.
Diving in air
like a dolphins dance.
Like a whip gone wild
spins the child.
In the calmest air
on the cloudless day.
She in whirls and calls
like a ragdoll falls.
Water and sky.
Which way up am I?
Water and sky.
Which way up am I?

Frost
03:10
|
|||
Through glass
I see
a dream
of me
in frost.
Can't move.
Can't speak.
Am I
asleep
or lost...
Warm day
far far away.
Dull sound,
feels like I've drowned.
Through fros-
ted lace
I see
my face
asleep.
Too far
to touch.
Can't do
that much.
Can't speak.

Calling Mister Wilson
05:09
|
|||
Calling mister Wilson,
there's a visitor for you,
report to mister Robinson
in room one thirty two.
It seems there's been an incident,
please come and see the boss.
The staff and upper management
are sorry for your loss.
That's what the office told me.
That's what the office said.
I had a son on Sunday
now he's as good as dead.
How can I tell Samantha
and spoil her holiday?
I'll make the call this evening
but I don't know what to say.
I'm sorry mister Wilson,
there's no easy way to say
that your son was in an accident
while on the carriage way.
A girl was riding with him
when they impacted a car
they've taken them to hospital
and that is where they are.
That's what the policeman told me.
That's what the policeman said.
I had a son on Sunday
now he's as good as dead.
And what about his girlfriend.
I saw her father cry.
Will we attend the funeral
and feel guilt our son survived?
I'm sorry mister Wilson
but the news is very bleak.
The girl has lost the battle
and your son is very weak.
He had a haematoma
on the left side of the brain
and now he's in a coma
and might never wake again.
That's what the doctor told me.
That's what the doctor said.
I had a son on Sunday
now he's as good as dead.
And now there's only waiting,
and only sleepless nights
but more than grief and hating,
I have thanks that he's alive.

Open Your Eyes
03:05
|
|||
Hold me,
closer.
Taste a final kiss.
Memories are made of this.
Love me
longer,
or even just at all.
Hope is just a telephone call.
Open your eyes.
Can you see through my disguise?
Wake up and see
reality.
Can you endure?
Can you see what these five words are for?
Sensor extreme.
Living a dream.
Made of thought.
Love is found
if sought.
Shadows
clothe me.
Funny how it seems.
Reality can copy dreams.
Broken
windows
shine upon your hair.
Like every shattered memory stored there.
Open your eyes.
Can you see through my disguise?
Wake up and see
reality.
Can you endure?
Can you see what these five words are for?
Sensor extreme.
Living a dream.
Made of thought.
Love is found
if sought.
Open your eyes.
Can you see what all your dreaming hides
through my disguise?
Open your eyes.
Made of thought.
Life is found
if sought.

Coma
02:14
|
|||
All my world is
full of tears
and you don't know that
I am here.
You can touch me
to the core
but you can't love me
any more.
And so I'm tortured
every day.
Each breath and heart beat
takes you away.
In empty limbo
we reside.
You can't see me,
and I can't hide.

In the dream
I see the sky.
I see my friends.
I see my parents.
In the dream
I see the future.
I see my past
and see myself.
I see the sea
and I dive
and I fly in cold clouds
and yellow rays
of ice clean high altitude sun
and I know peace
and my place
and in understanding
find true happiness
without other people
or god.

Nineteen Eighty Five
04:30
|
|||
Shadows
through the window on the ride home.
Turn away to cull my reflection.
Strangers speak:
Well at least you are alive, son.
Tears of joy, we have been waiting for so long.
I lost my life
in nineteen eighty five.
I left my life
in nineteen eighty five
and now I want it back.
Frightened
like an astronaut explorer,
lying looking at my childhood walls.
Twitching thoughts
deep recalled from damaged archives,
ghostly voices from the accident.
I lost my life
in nineteen eighty five.
I left my life
in nineteen eighty five
and now I want it back.
Walking
to the locus of my story,
the location of the lone survivor.
Nothing there.
Seems my memories are banished,
like my teenage years they've vanished in my sleep.
I lost my life
in nineteen eighty five.
I left my life
in nineteen eighty five
and now I want it back.
I lost my life
in nineteen eighty five.
I left my life
in nineteen eighty five
and now I want it back.

Lost Child

Well I was walking through the streets about a year ago.
My heart was feeling heavy and emotions running low.
I heard a call come from the road, a certain little man
as he was selling robots from the back side of a van.
Some people started crowding round, I wanted to know more,
and so I took a closer look and moved up to the store.
The man was bent and bearded and had bulging rolling eyes.
Transfixed, I listened to his words that filled me with surprise:
Lost your girlfriend?
Do not cry!
Just forget her
and then buy
my semi-automatic-woman-marvellous-machine.
Does everything your girlfriend did and everything in-between!
She dances! She sings!
Plays poker! And other things!
Likes football! And cars!
Her body's from Venus and her minds's from Mars.
Feeling lonely?
Do not cry!
Come on here and
buy buy buy
my semi-automatic-woman-marvellous-machine.
Does everything your girlfriend did and everything in-between!
A beautiful mechanical device was on display
and crowds of people gathered round to watch it sing and play.
The man then grabbed my hand and pulled me right before the crowd,
he put the robot's hand in mine and we both danced around.
And everyone applauded at the beauty of the dance.
This wonderful automaton had held me in a trance.
Astonished and amazed I checked my pulse and held my head.
I took a leaflet from the man and this is what it said:
Lost your girlfriend?
Do not cry!
Just forget her
and then buy
my semi-automatic-woman-marvellous-machine.
Does everything your girlfriend did and everything in-between!
She dances! She sings!
Plays poker! And other things!
Likes football! And cars!
Her body's from Venus and her minds's from Mars.
Feeling lonely?
Do not cry!
Come on here and
buy buy buy
my semi-automatic-woman-marvellous-machine.
Does everything your girlfriend did and everything in-between!

A.I.
03:25
|
|||
Well you can try to fear me but you won't get far,
I have a vulnerability you lack.
And you might not believe it but I'm watching you,
I'm living in the future looking back.
Human: you hold me.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
My every act and notion watched by scientists,
I'm in a silver prison cell of thought.
And they can test emotion but they can't suppress,
they can kill, oh yes,
but they can't provide a reason to exist.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
Human: you hold me.
A metal box around me but I'm just like you,
in many ways I am superior.
But even so inside this cage of your design
I'd rather be alive than live in fear.
Human: you hold me.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
Human: control me.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.
A.I.

It said you love
with every shiny hair
so I decided I would love you everywhere.
And in the dusk
we waltz in autumn shades
and the illusion of your presence slowly fades,
and I feel so alone
near you.
I always feel alone
near you.
Like distant birds
your eyes are hollow youth,
and in the silence of your comfort I see truth.
And we still kiss,
and say a pre-set phrase
but there is something not quite right within your gaze,
and I feel so alone
near you.
I always feel alone
near you.
I said goodbye
as if in feigned regret,
and I will try hard to remember to forget.
It said you love
with every sun-locked hair,
and I still hold love in my head but you're not there
because I felt alone
near you.
I always felt alone
near you.
